Baptism

Baptism is one of the two sacraments, along with Holy Communion, that our church holds so dear. It is an important part of our lives and a call from Jesus to baptize everyone in His name.

Baptism is also a communal event. That is why we insist, unless there are unique circumstances, we always baptize during a Sunday service. The whole congregation witnesses the blessed event and also promises to help the newly baptize live into their baptismal covenant.

Unfortunately, with the alteration of our worship, we won’t be able to baptize as we have done in the past, at least for the time-being. However, since we are certainly under some unique circumstances it has been decided that we will hold private baptisms until we can fully gather as a church family. If you or someone you know would like to have a private baptism in the church please call one of our clergy, Rusty or Monna, either by phone or via email to arrange a time. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks and God bless.
