Men of St. Paul’s
The Men of St. Paul (MOSP) offer the opportunity for men of the parish to participate in both in- and outreach activities throughout this community.
As a result of the funds raised through our annual Barbeque, MOSP has contributed money, time and effort to such organizations/ministries as Church in the Yard (CITY), Wedding at Cana, Mountain Top, St. Paul’s Youth ministries, Boys and Girls Club, High Hopes, and Habitat for Humanity.
We have absolutely no membership requirements.

Annual Barbeque
The Men of St. Paul’s is a Franklin tradition! The 63rd Annual Barbeque is Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Traditional offerings were available: MoSP award-winning pulled pork BBQ, smoked chicken, whole pork butts, and chicken quarters. Individual meals came with choice of pork or chicken, along with baked beans, vegetable mix, coleslaw, and hoe cakes.
The barbeque is not just about great food and fellowship, it’s also about the ministry of St. Paul’s. As always, proceeds from the BBQ give us the opportunity to serve our community.
Hope Mobile
Men of St. Paul’s maintains a long tradition for feeding the community throughout the year. Now, they’re mobile! The Hope Mobile allows the Men of St. Paul’s to take their meal ministries on the road to support a variety of community and charitable projects, such Habitat for Humanity builds, Boys and Girls Club events, Church in the Yard (CitY), and more.

Men’s Conference
The Annual Conference of Tennessee Churchmen is the oldest gathering of men in the Episcopal Church. Every year since 1947, laymen of the Episcopal Churches in Tennessee have gathered at DuBose Conference Center in Monteagle, Tennessee. The men of Tennessee have maintained their bonds despite the fact that the national Church divided Tennessee into the three dioceses in 1982.
The weekend is usually on the third weekend in August. Friday is the BBQ cook-off followed by the first of three well known speakers. Saturday morning is the second speaker followed by updates from the bishop and key laymen of your Diocese. The afternoon is free to golf, to hike, to swim, to canoe, to bike, to skeet shoot, or just to relax, read and/or sleep. Saturday evening is the third speaker. Sunday we adjourn to the beautiful All Saints Chapel on the Sewanee campus for a special communion service.
