It’s Barbeque Time!
It is time, once again, for a Franklin tradition! The 61st Annual Summer Cookout, sponsored by the Men of St. Paul’s, will be held on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. After the success of last year, this year’s event will also be carry-out only.
All of our traditional offerings will be available: our award-winning pulled pork BBQ, smoked chicken, whole pork butts, and chicken quarters. Meals will be packaged individually and offered in bulk quantities as a “family pack”. Each meal will be pre-packed with your choice of pork or chicken, along with baked beans, vegetable mix, coleslaw, and hoe cakes. Individual meals will be available for walk-up only. Cash, checks, credit cards, or tickets will be accepted as payment.
Don’t forget dessert! Take home a homemade peach or chocolate fudge pie provided by the Women of St. Paul’s. They are $25 each and you must pre-order your pie online to reserve one. Pies may be purchased with cash, checks or credit cards. The tickets cannot be used for the pies.
Pre-ordering is available for bulk items, family packs, and pies which are listed below. You may do so via the St. Paul’s website until July 22nd at noon. All of the bulk items will be available during the cook out as well. They are:
- Whole Boston Butts ($60)
- Whole Smoked Chicken ($12)
- Chicken Leg Quarters (4 for $12)
- Pork by the Pound ($12 per pound)
- Family Pack Meals ($60, enough to feed 5-6)
- Whole Homemade Pies – Peach or Chocolate Fudge ($25)
We will accept pre-orders through the website until 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 22nd. You may pick up and pay for your pre-order between at 2:00 and 4:00 pm on Saturday. Please note, after 4:00 pm, pre-orders will not be held and all food remaining will be sold, so please come early to get your order.

We will provide recipes, deep dish pie pans and pie boxes.
The summer cookout is not just about great food and fellowship, it’s also about the ministry of St. Paul’s. As always, proceeds from the BBQ give us the opportunity to serve our community.
